My toxic trait? Giving you all the info. Like, probably more than you asked for. But hey - when it comes to planning the most important day of your life, too much info is never a bad thing, right?

This is where I spill the beans on everything from legal docs to ceremony vibes, so you feel calm, clued-up and totally prepped.

By the time you scroll to the bottom, you’ll be feeling ready to hire me as your celebrant and pumped for the BEST. DAY. EVAAAA. 💍🎉

The Legal Stuff

  • It’s pretty simple, but there are a few rules:

    • You need to lodge your NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) at least one month before your wedding day but no earlier than 18 months prior.

    • Both of you must consent to the marriage (no surprises here!).

    • You can’t be closely related (so no siblings, cousins, or awkward family reunions).

    • You need to be 18 or over- if not, let’s chat because there’s more paperwork involved.

    • And, of course, you can’t already be married to someone else (if you’ve been married before, I’ll need to sight a divorce or death certificate to confirm it’s all officially wrapped up).

  • Absolutely! I take care of all the paperwork, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. From lodging your NOIM to submitting your marriage documents after the ceremony, it’s all part of the package. You just need to show up, sign on the dotted line, and say 'I do'!

  • You’ll need to fill out the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) at least 30 days before your wedding - I’ll guide you through it step by step, so no stress!

    On the day, together with your 2 chosen witnesses, we’ll sign two marriage certificates, one Commonwealth certificate, and a declaration of no legal impediment to marry. After the ceremony, I’ll take care of lodging all the paperwork to make your marriage official - easy as!

  • To make your marriage legal, I need to sight some official ID when completing your NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) - but don’t stress, I make it super easy.

    You’ll need to provide one of the following for each of you:

    • A valid passport (Aussie or international) – easiest option!
      OR, if you don’t have a passport:

    • Your driver’s licence AND your birth certificate

    If you’ve been married before, I’ll also need to see your divorce certificate or death certificate to confirm the previous marriage has ended.

    I’ll print out the NOIM and have it ready to witness your signatures at our planning meeting and lodge it. Easy peasy, legal stuff done! 🙌 (until the big day!)

  • How do we get our official marriage certificate?
    After you’re officially hitched (woohoo! 🎉), I’ll lodge all your legal paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) in the state your ceremony took place.

    But here’s the thing: you’ll need to apply for your official marriage certificate directly through BDM - it doesn’t get sent automatically.

    Don’t worry though, I’ve gotchu! I’ll send you all the info (including the exact link) in a cute little post-wedding email so you can apply easily when you're ready. You’ll need this certificate to legally change your name or update any records - the commemorative one you sign on the day? That’s just for the memories!

    I don’t do cookie-cutter, cringey or overly formal. I do personal, playful and full-of-vibe. If you’re after a ceremony that kicks off your love fest with all the feels (and none of the fluff), we’ll be the perfect match.

  • Heck yes they are - because no two couples are the same! I work with you to make sure your ceremony is exactly what you want - nothing more, nothing less. Every single script is crafted from scratch, and this is where I bring my creative flair to the table to dream up something unique that truly screams you.

    We’ll catch up in person so I can really get to know you, and I’ll also have you fill out a love story questionnaire. Together, we’ll map out a ceremony that feels just right - packed with all the special touches that make it unapologetically yours.

I start with my Love Story Questionnaire - packed with fun, thought-provoking questions designed to uncover the quirks, milestones, and magic that make your relationship one of a kind. From how you met to the inside jokes only you two understand, it’s my way of diving into your world.

    But it doesn’t stop there! I’m a total sentimental sucker, so I also love sitting down with you (over a bevvy, of course) to hear all the juicy details in person. Every laugh, every heartfelt moment, every OMG-that’s-so-them story gets woven into your ceremony, making it a true reflection of your love and everything that makes you you. It’s about bringing all the feels, from belly laughs to happy tears, and creating something your guests will rave about for years to come.

  • For a full ceremony, I recommend setting aside about 45 minutes in the run sheet, even though the actual magic usually takes 20 to 30 minutes (depending on how many laughs, tears, or cheeky surprises we throw in). Let’s keep it fun and engaging - no one wants a marathon session!

    For a micro-wedding, we’re looking at around 10 minutes, give or take, depending on any extra touches you want to include.

    For a legals-only ceremony we’ll have you officially married in under five minutes- short, sweet, and straight to the point!

  • Totally fine, that’s exactly what I’m here for. Most couples have never done this before, so it’s my job to guide you through the unknowns and make the whole process easy, fun, and exciting.

    Once you book, I’ll send you a welcome pack with a timeline of what to expect, along with some stellar vendor recommendations to get you on the right track. Then, we’ll catch up for a planning meeting (over a bevvy or two, of course), get to know each other, and brainstorm all the cool ways to make your ceremony feel totally you.

    That said, I do encourage couples to express their love in some form, even if it’s not during the ceremony. You could write each other a heartfelt card to read the morning of, share your vows over a private moment after the wedding, or even text them to each other in true modern love style (toilet texts, anyone?). However you choose to do it, being reminded of how much you’re loved by the person who loves you the most is always worth it.

Before the big day

  • As soon as you can, legend! My calendar fills up fast - sometimes 18 months to 2 years in advance, especially during peak wedding season. If you’ve got a date locked in, let’s secure it before someone else sweeps in!

  • Absolutely! If you’ve included a rehearsal in your package, we can run through everything either in person or online - whatever works best for you. It’s a great way to make sure everyone knows where to stand, when to walk, and how to nail those aisle vibes.

    That said, my rehearsal guide is packed with everything you need to feel totally prepared, so honestly, I don’t think you’ll even need one! And just remember - I’ll be guiding you every step of the way on the day, so you’ll never feel lost or unprepared.     • Vow card holders for personal vows, if you’re not bringing your own.

    • A stash of lollipops as bribery for any kiddos making their way down the aisle.

    • My ‘just-in-case kit’ packed with sunscreen, bug spray, bobby pins, cable ties, and more to save the day for any last-minute surprises.

    Oh, and tissues - because happy tears are basically guaranteed. And of course, I’ll bring a whole lot of good vibes to keep everything running like a dream!

  • I sure do - at least for a little whilen to see you soak in all the love! Once you’re officially hitched, I’ll help direct your guests to cocktail our and family photos, chat with your photographer to nail the group pic, and make sure the post-ceremony vibes are seamless. If I'm your MC as well? Then heck yes, I’m sticking around to run the whole damn show! 🎤 If your keen to keep the tunes cranked during cocktail hour just say the word and we can upgrade your package to include cocktail hour fun!

  • 100%! I’m a big fan of teamwork (and smooth weddings), so I always touch base with your key vendors - think photographer, videographer, Content creator, musicians, and planner or on-the-day coordinator - to make sure we’re all singing from the same song book. For MC gigs I send out my final MC run sheet to everyone, so we’re synced and ready to roll!

  • We make it work - with laughs, umbrellas and a backup plan! ☔
    I’ll always check in about your wet weather options during planning, and if the weather turns wild, I’ll roll with it and make sure your ceremony is just as magic (even if we have to swap arbour views for undercover I-do’s). Rain or shine, we’re gettin’ you married, baby! NOTE: ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B!!!

Booking Process

  • Easy peasy! All you need to do is say, “Kristy, we’re obsessed please be our celebrant!” - I’ll send you a quote to accept and details on how to pay the non-refundable booking fee. Once that’s paid, you’re officially locked in and I’m yours for your wedding day, baby! YAHOOOO!

    1. You slide into my inbox or book a vibe chat.

    1. We have a fun little convo to see if we’re a good fit (spoiler: we probably are).

    2. I send you a quote to accept, you sign the T&C’s and pay the booking fee and then…

    3. You pop the bubbly - you’ve scored yourself the raddest celebrant in town!
      From there, we kick off the planning process and I send over all the juicy bits like your welcome pack, Love Locker login, NOIM link and planning meeting details.

  • Absolutely! If I’m free and your paperwork is in order (NOIM needs at least 1 month’s notice unless you’ve got special approval called a ‘shortening of time’ from Births deaths and marriages), I’m all in. Shoot your shot!

  • Life happens — I get it! If you need to move your date, I’ll do everything I can to make it work. If I’m still available for your new date, it’s all good! I’ll simply transfer your booking fee across, no extra stress.

    Just give me a heads-up as early as possible so we can lock it in and keep the good vibes rolling. 💫

  • If you need to cancel your booking, your deposit is non-refundable — it covers admin, processing, and locking in your wedding date. If you’ve paid more than the booking fee and cancel closer to your big day, a partial refund might be available, depending on how close we are to the wedding.

    No matter what, I’ll always be upfront, fair, and here to chat things through — so don’t stress. Just get in touch and we’ll work it out together. 💛

  • Absolutely! Weddings can add up, so I’m happy to offer flexible payment plans to make things easier. Typically, I split payments into three:

    • A 30% non-refundable booking fee to secure your date.

    • A 50% planning payment around 4-6 months out from your wedding.

    • The final 20% payment, due 1 month before your big day.

    BUT if your budget needs a bit more wiggle room, we can break it into extra instalments - no worries at all! I’m all about making the journey to the arbour as stress-free as possible, so whatever I can do to ease the pinch, I’ve got you covered!

  • Every wedding is as unique as the couple getting married, so my pricing reflects that. Whether you're planning a sweet and simple legals-only ceremony, a full-blown celebration with all the bells and whistles, travel, or adding me as your MC to keep the good vibes rolling, I’ll create a package tailored just for you.

    To give you an idea, my prices range from $750 to $2,850, depending on what you need. Let’s chat about your plans, and I’ll put together something perfect for your day.
